Zoey 101

Zoey 101 is an American live-action situation comedy television series starring Jamie Lynn Spears. The series was originally run as a TEENick show on Nickelodeon, beginning on January 9, 2005. The show was initially filmed at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, then at stages in Valencia, Santa Clarita, California beginning Season 3. It was nominated for an "Outstanding Children's Program" Emmy in 2005. The future of the show came into question after Jamie Lynn Spears announced her pregnancy at the age of 16, but Nickelodeon continued to air the series with its fourth and final season, which began on January 27, 2008 and ended on May 2, 2008. Reruns of the show were also halted on November 27, 2009. The series returned to TeenNick on May 31, 2010, and has run in syndication ever since.

Welcome to PCA is the first episode in Season 1 and the first episode of the series overall. The episode aired on January 9, 2005.

During her first day at PCA, Zoey Brooks is challenged to a boys vs. girls basketball match by a bullyish guy named, Logan Reese. Logan picks his team, which includes Chase Matthews and Michael Barrett. Zoey chooses her team, which includes Nicole Bristow, Dana Cruz, and Quinn Pensky. The girls lose the basketball game by one point, prompting Logan to tease them. The coach of the basketball team is impressed and then offers Zoey and Dana a place on the team, much to Logan's chagrin.

Featured character

Chase Matthews (portrayed by Sean Flynn) is the main male character in Zoey 101, the first person that Zoey meets at PCA. In several episodes, people make fun of Chase's bushy hair.

Chase is a dork, but girls enjoy hanging out with him. It is revealed that he is from Baltimore. Chase has a "secret" crush on Zoey that he is afraid to tell her. He has been known to be very clumsy, usually falling down stairs. It was revealed in the episode "Favor Chain", that Chase has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things having to do with comic books.
